when we immerse ourselves in other voices, learning happens.

How We Live Out Learning

Bridging to Belonging

The Bridging to Belonging program demonstrates the IFLC’s commitment to learning. By using storytelling, listening, and group engagement, the program builds trust and a sense of belonging. In groups of 6-8 people, guided by a moderator, participants share stories, explore values, and engage in dialogue to connect and learn from each other.

Journeys: World Religions of Metropolitan Detroit

Journeys: World Religions of Metropolitan Detroit illustrates the IFLC’s dedication to learning by bringing children together with diverse religious groups in Southeast Michigan. Through visits to various faith communities, the program allows participants to learn about the stories, spaces, beliefs, strengths, and values of our diverse communities. Faith leaders and educators work together to create an inclusive experience, ensuring that each individual feels valued, supported, and understood.

Interfaith Health Equity Partnership

The Interfaith Health Equity Partnership reflects the IFLC’s commitment to learning by advancing healing and well-being across all faiths through healthcare education. The committee is dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of faith, receives necessary care. By connecting communities and faith leaders to appropriate healthcare resources, the partnership supports an inclusive approach to health and well-being

Education Committee

The Education Committee unites educators, multifaith clergy, and individuals passionate about inclusive education to foster a learning environment. Through events that bridge cultural and faith differences, the committee promotes mutual understanding and respect. By teaching about various faith traditions and creating spaces for interfaith interactions, it facilitates meaningful connection and strengthens the bonds between diverse communities.
