Why do we need each other?

What is the Resilience Pledge?

The mission of the Interfaith Leadership Council of metropolitan Detroit is to bring people of many faiths together to work toward a community based on our highest and best values. This includes people of all and no faith background.

In recent years, many have felt division and conflict within and between communities. The resilience pledge is simply a way for any and all members of the community to commit to continuing connection, hope, understanding, supporting and standing with each other. It does not mean we will always agree, but that we commit to keep trying to co-create a community where all are heard, seen and valued. It does not mean there will not be conflict, but it means we will strive to see our common humanity and heal the wounds that occur.

Whether you identify as part of the faith community or not, we invite you to join with us in committing to resilience in working together to build a community based on our highest and best values. You are already surrounded by people striving to live this out, and we know you have much to contribute!
