In this video, the Parent Health Lab shares a few things that you can do to prepare for safe sleep for your baby. Remember, chances of suffocation and sleep-related infant death go way down if you:

a. Always put your baby down to sleep on the back

b. Use a firm sleep surface, like a crib, bassinet, or pack-and-play

c. Don’t put anything in your baby’s sleep area

d. No soft toys, blankets, pillows, or bumper pads

e. Breastfeed, when possible; and

f. Share your room, not your bed.
