The program aims to support hospitals with the implementation of patient safety bundles and risk-appropriate care for pregnant and postpartum people. The program includes support for the following:
- Maternal Levels of Care (MLC) Verification: Coverage of costs associated with MLC Verification, including annual fee and on-site visit fee.
- Maternal Health Quality Improvement: $9 million in general fund dollars have been allocated to support maternal health quality improvement activities. The funds will be released to all participating hospitals in September.
