Raman Singh: Biography

Education: Raman is a graduate of Wayne State University with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and owns a small business in Plymouth, Michigan.
Interfaith Involvement: Raman has long been active in interfaith work and has been associated with IFLC since before it was incorporated. Her involvement with IFLC has included working on the Education Committee and co-chairing the Grants Advisory Committee along with Eve Haley. In addition, she has been an important part of the Development Committee where last year as well as this year she was a member of the delegation who informed our Civic Visionary Leaders of their awards. Raman works with various organizations including WISDOM, World Sabbath, and the Michigan Roundtable for Diversity and Inclusion, along with Interfaith Power and Light. She is a regular panelist on the DPTV Program Interfaith Odyssey. A leader in the Sikh community, Raman also participates in her local Gurdwara (Gurdwara Sahib Mata Tripta). She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Gurdwara and helps run the youth educational programming and outreach work.
Civic Engagement: Raman is engaged in civic work as well. She has served on the School Board for the West Bloomfield School District, and currently serves on various School District committees.
Personal: A lifelong Michigan resident, Raman Singh is a married to Heminder Singh, M.D. and is the mother of two college age sons.
