Answers for Faith Leaders: Housing Resource Questions

May 19, 2024

The InterFaith Leadership Council of Metropolitan Detroit, in collaboration with Catholic Charities and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will sponsor a presentation by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) titled “Answers for Faith Leaders: Housing Resource Questions.”

The seminar will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Livonia on Thursday, May 30 at 1 PM, lasting approximately an hour, including a Q&A session. This free seminar aims to assist faith leaders in navigating housing resources for their communities by connecting them with state experts. It is part of the IFLC’s Compassion in Action initiatives, which fosters collaboration between faith and social service leaders to address community needs. A notable example of this approach is the “Healthy Births” initiative led by the IFLC and the Interfaith Health Equity Partnership (IHEP) for United Way.
