Year of Faith and Peace

This is the year we will come together as one community of many faiths to combat fear and hatred with education and celebration.

We invite you to join us in promoting understanding and raising awareness of the Year of Faith and Peace, as we help raise awareness for your efforts.

If you are doing a program that meets the following criteria, we would like to include it in the Year of Faith and Peace calendar that goes out in our weekly newsletter, in our social media, and on the IFLC’s interfaith calendar.

Programs must be:

  • Faith-based
  • Non-confessional
  • Religiously diverse
  • Non-partisan
  • Open to the public

Types of programs might include any program that promote understanding and long term friendships among the participants, like panel discussions, service projects, interfaith dinners and holiday observances, and discussion groups.

Please download and add the Year of Faith and Peace logo for use to promote YFP programs. And send program information and flyers to detroitinterfaithcouncil@gmail.com.
